（中央社記者呂欣憓、唐佩君台北20日電）總統蔡英文今天宣誓就職，她的就職演說提到尊重九二會談歷史事實但未提到九二共識。美國在台協會台北辦事處前處長包道格晚間表示，他認為蔡總統的演講很成功。
蔡總統在今天早上的就職演說中表示，她會在既有的政治基礎上推動兩岸關係，基礎包括1992年兩岸兩會會談的歷史事實與求同存異的共同認知、中華民國現行憲政體制、以及兩岸過去協商和交流成果。
她並表示，1992年兩岸兩會秉持相互諒解、求同存異的政治思維，進行溝通協商，達成若干的共同認知與諒解，「我尊重這個歷史事實」。
包道格今天晚間出席在萬豪酒店舉辦的就職國宴，媒體詢問他對蔡總統沒有提到九二共識的看法，包道格表示：「我本來就不預期她會講，我認為她的演講很成功。」1050520
